As Health Care Providers, We Are Asked Many Questions:

How long is a patient likely to need treatment?
How do we measure our quality?
How do we know we are providing high quality services?
What is our customer satisfaction?
What is our total value or treatment efficiency?
How does the quality and value of our services compare to other rehabilitation providers?

foto-logoNow We Know the Answers by using Focus On Therapeutic Outcomes, Inc. (FOTO) a web based patient assessment system that reports three primary functional status measures for your patient:

At admission, the patient completes an online assessment specific to the body part or impairment that needs treatment. From these responses the functional status measure score is calculated. This is a score between 0-100 that represents the patient’s functional ability.

FOTO uses 1O risk-adjustment factors to ensure that the predictions we make are reflective of the patient’s characteristics. This is important both for accuracy and precision in national comparative and functional limitation reporting.

Patients complete an assessment as needed during care and on the last visit to track the improvement of function. That amount of change is then compared to risk-adjusted national predictions from FOTO, providing a measure of treatment effectiveness.

The questions on that survey rate the patient’s ability to do usual activities. The staff completes a questionnaire at discharge.

How Can the Information Be Used?
To identify our clinical strengths and areas in need of improvement To track outcomes To better understand our patients.
